Applied Psychology in Criminal Justice is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, academic journal that examines the intersection of psychology and criminal justice. APCJ is an international electronic journal, and articles are published on a regular basis. All peer-reviewed articles must meet rigorous standards and can represent a broad range of substantive topics, theoretical orientations, empirical methods, and analytic strategies.

APCJ welcomes submissions that explore the social and psychological aspects of human behavior as related to applied societal and criminal justice settings. APCJ takes a broad and inclusive view of applied psychology and the study of criminal justice.

	Message from the Editor Randy Garner, Ph.D. Editor, APCJ Applied Psychology in Criminal Justice is an interdisciplinary academic journal that examines the intersection of psychology and criminal justice. APCJ welcomes submissions that explore the social and psychological aspects of human behavior as related to applied societal and criminal justice settings. APCJ is dedicated to providing timely access to important peer-reviewed research. Many academic journals have an acceptance or publication lag time that can exceed a year or more! A recent study found that the review process in a typical print journal averaged more than 5 months for an "accepted" paper; however, once accepted, the time to publication averaged 21 months or longer. As APCJ is primarily positioned as an electronic journal, this process can be considerably shortened; resulting in a more rapid dissemination of important information. Additionally, the e-journal format does not create the usual page-per -issue limitations in print-only journals. Issues are published on a regular basis with volume and issue numbers. Authors are invited to submit their work at any time throughout the year and should carefully review the submission criteria and requirements. APCJ maintains rigorous peer-reviewed standards. If you have a submission that you believe meets our criteria, we encourage you to consider APCJ as an outlet for your academic research.
